Conduent Transportation's Dean Fennell-Connell elected on the British Parking Association Board of Directors

Congratulations to Dean Fennell-Connell, an invaluable member of the UK Kerbside Management and Public Safety team, for being elected Chair of the Public Affairs and Communications Service Board. He now serves on the Board of Directors for the British Parking Association (BPA) and will be representing the interests of the organisation until July 2023.

The appointment has been made public by the BPA on their official LinkedIn page this week, following the People in Parking Awards, a live award ceremony where Dean announced the winner of Ernest Davis Award for 2020 since he has been the recipient of the award in 2019.

Dean has been part of the Conduent Transportation team since 2009. Through his ten years’ experience in the local government parking industry, Dean has been recognised by his peers for his knowledge and insight into trends, best practice and the optimal application of technology solutions.

Member of the BPA Council as the Representative for Parking Technology, Dean supports Parking Technology members through making introductions and ensuring that issues pertinent to their business, such as changes in legislation, are shared with the Council and the board for review. The leap to the BPA board is a natural step as well as a testament to his hard work and dedication.

About the BPA

The British Parking Association represents the UK parking and traffic management profession. Today, the Association’s 750 members include local authorities, those providing and managing parking at hospitals, universities, retail and leisure centres, towns and city centres, railway stations, and airports. Then there are those who provide products and services to them and the motoring public alike such as apps, payments systems, and other technology designed to make the parking experience a better one, not forgetting those who are designing and building the car parks of the future.  With 39 million vehicles on Britain’s roads, and increasing every year, it is essential that parking is provided, well managed, and that it works. In addition, we represent over 600 individuals and have a separate membership structure to support their professional development.
