Conduent to Deliver Procurement Advice at National WIC Association Conference
Conduent to sponsor, speak at National WIC Association Conference
As a leading provider of electronic benefits transfer (EBT) and associated government disbursement solutions, Conduent will sponsor, speak and network with more than 400 attendees on technological and program integrity innovations designed to support Women, Infants and Children (WIC) initiatives.
The National WIC Association (NWA) will host its 2019 Biennial NWA WIC Technology, Program Integrity, and Vendor Management Education & Networking Conference and Exhibits at the Cox Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City, September 16-19. This year’s conference will highlight the following areas, including:
- Streamlining WIC service delivery
- Enhancing Management Information Systems (MIS)
- Addressing the importance of quality data collection
- Improving systems and information security
This biennial technology conference and exhibition is structured to help state government WIC agencies gain insights into the latest MIS and EBT advances and help equip agencies to meet the looming 2020 deadline for congressionally mandated EBT for WIC requirements.
Conduent will answer questions about solutions, and describe how our services and solutions are well-positioned to help move state agency WIC services forward. This year, we will also help the host state Oklahoma’s State Department of Health (OSDH) describe what we did to help improve the state’s WIC program, which earned Conduent a strong reputation for partnership and was recognized as an ‘innovation of the year’ among state government WIC initiatives. The OSDH WIC program was awarded a 2016 State Scoop Award as an innovative mail-order formula solution that allows for the issuance and redemption of specialized infant formula when an alternative is needed due to the infant’s medical or nutritional needs.
On Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 11:30am, I will also participate in a panel entitled, How to Succeed in EBT Procurements Without Trying. In this session, a distinguished panel of industry experts will share experiences and describe best practice tips and advice for WIC agency attendees focused on how to streamline WIC procurement processes and accelerate state agency compliance with the federal 2020 EBT mandate. We hope to help state agencies better understand how specific state-sanctioned procurement requirements can impact both pricing and services. This will aid state agency executive efforts to stay on track to meet impending regulatory requirements, while implementing and optimizing EBT for WIC in each of their states.
The Conduent Government Payment Services team is looking forward to collaborating with decision-makers from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), WIC state agencies, and other stakeholders, about ways we can help improve WIC programs and technologies.
We are all waiting to learn what’s coming in terms of future federal requirements, share our insights on the latest technological advances that will help improve agency service delivery, and offer best practice advice to help modernize state WIC programs. Look for Conduent at Booth #302. Hope to see you soon at NWA WIC!
