Mary Washington Healthcare (MWHC), located in Rappahannock Region, VA, utilized the HCI platform and consulting services to complete their CHNA and Implementation Strategy. The CHNA report included primary data collected from focus groups, surveys, and key informant interviews; secondary data analysis, and prioritization of five areas of need. Obesity was identified as a key need from the facilitated Root Cause Analysis Workshops. MWHC launched an educational campaign targeting elementary school teachers and parents to reduce sugar in the classroom, incorporate healthy fruit and vegetable snacks, and increase physical activity.
