Tackling Gender-Based Violence with AI and Advanced Analytics

Non-government organizations tackling gender-based violence (GBV) are overextended and under-resourced and can benefit immensely from interdisciplinary resources and expertise. For several years, Conduent has been partnering with two leading law firms to support pro bono work for the International Center for Advocates Against Discrimination (ICAAD), a UN-sponsored group tracking GBV in the Pacific Islands, a region with the highest rate of violence against women and girls in the world.

ICAAD leveraged Conduent’s Artificial Intelligence solutions to create a first-of-its-kind Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Sentencing Handbook, used by judiciaries and governments to shape internal policies and legislation, and our Viewpoint eDiscovery platform powers the TrackGBV Legal Database — a first in the region. The database houses GBV cases from 12 countries and allows ICAAD partners to analyze cases directly on the platform.

Joe Pirrotta, Senior Director of Conduent’s Legal, Compliance & Analytics Solutions, says “ICAAD is doing the crucial work of securing Access to Justice for women and girls. We are proud that our teams and technologies can help bring an innovative solution to such an important initiative.”

Thank you to the team providing this specialized support and making a real impact and difference in many lives.
