Illegal parkers take up critical supply. Parking enforcement helps manage curbside supply. When enforcement is inadequate, drivers are more likely to risk citations and park illegally. That reduction in available parking supply aggravates congestion and significantly impacts municipal meter revenue.  But limited parking isn’t just a supply-side problem.

Properly managing demand on the curb will create access for those motorists most in need, helping to solve the first- and last-mile problem.
