Earth Day 2026: Advancing our impact
Each year, Earth Day offers a moment to reflect, not just on where we’ve been, but on where we’re going.
At Conduent, that reflection continues to evolve. What began as a focus on progress has become something more deliberate: a commitment to purpose. In 2026, that purpose is clearer than ever — to create measurable impact through the way we operate, innovate and engage with the world around us.
Because responsibility isn’t a milestone. It’s a mindset.
Turning strategy into action
As we approach publishing our 2025 Corporate Social Responsibility Report, across our global operations, last year was one marked by a continuation of translating ambition into tangible results.
We strengthened how we measure and manage our environmental footprint, from advancing our greenhouse gas reduction roadmap to submitting near-term emissions targets to the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) for validation. At the same time, we continued modernizing our infrastructure, consolidating data centers and improving energy efficiency across facilities.
Reduction of Scopes 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 58% by 2034 over a 2024 baseline.
These aren’t abstract goals. They’re practical steps toward long-term resilience. And they’re already delivering results.
Through initiatives like LED lighting upgrades across our global facilities, we reduced energy consumption while preventing measurable emissions. We also recycled over 16 million pounds-of paper. Our-office-recycling efforts were equivalent to removing 6,602 gas-powered vehicles from the road and preventing 29,337 metric tons of CO2 emissions, according to Iron Mountain’s Secure Shredding Green Report, which uses the Environmental Paper Network’s Paper Calculator.
Our data center optimization efforts also continued to scale, reducing physical footprint while improving performance, a reminder that efficiency and sustainability can move forward together.
Designing solutions that make a difference
Our impact doesn’t stop within our own operations. Many of the solutions we deliver every day help our clients achieve their own sustainability goals — often in ways that directly affect people’s lives.
For example, our support of congestion relief initiatives contributed to fewer vehicles on the road, improved commuter safety and a measurable reduction in both air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
In the government sector, we helped simplify access to critical services, streamlining enrollment, improving payment reliability and expanding access for communities that rely on these programs.
And through digital platforms and secure payment solutions, we made it easier for families to access education funding — faster and more efficiently.
These are the moments where technology meets purpose.
Empowering people to create impact
Behind every outcome are the people who make it possible.
In 2025, our associates continued to show what purpose looks like in action, contributing thousands of volunteer hours across communities worldwide.
From environmental cleanups and education initiatives to health and community outreach programs, their efforts reflect a shared belief that impact extends beyond the workplace.
At the same time, we continued investing in our people, expanding learning opportunities, increasing participation in development programs and strengthening leadership capabilities across our organization. Because creating long-term value starts with empowering individuals to grow, contribute and lead.
Strengthening trust through responsible governance
As technology evolves, so does our responsibility to use it thoughtfully.
In 2025, we advanced our Responsible AI governance framework, reinforcing principles like transparency, fairness and accountability across all AI deployments. These principles ensure that innovation remains grounded in trust, with people at the center of every decision.
We also continued to strengthen our data privacy and security programs, maintaining rigorous standards and achieving near-universal completion of privacy and ethics training across our global workforce.
These efforts aren’t just about compliance, they’re about confidence. Confidence from our clients, our partners and the communities we serve.
Looking ahead: Building what’s next
Progress is important. But purpose is what sustains it.
As we move through 2026, our focus is on deepening the integration of sustainability across every part of our business, from how we manage climate risk to how we design solutions and engage with stakeholders.
We’re expanding environmental training for leaders and continuing to modernize our operations with next-generation, energy-efficient technologies. And at the same time, we’re strengthening the connections between our business strategy and the broader impact we aim to create. Because the path forward isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing what matters better, together with intention.
This is what progress with purpose looks like. Read about our 2025 sustainability performance in our upcoming CSR Report, to be published this June, and learn more about our progress and plans at our corporate social responsibility page.
