Conduent’s Recent CMMI Level 3 Rating Highlights Exciting Momentum

At Conduent, we’re working every day to help our clients create seamless digital interactions with their customers through the power of technology innovation. Our platforms and solutions touch virtually every area of business and government, creating individualized, immediate and intelligent connections between our clients and their end users. That’s one of the reasons we are especially proud of our recent rating by the CMMI Institute with a Capability Maturity Model Integration Level 3 Maturity Appraisal. It’s a long name but it means a great deal to our business and our clients. Here’s why.

When it comes to the details of what we do each day and the ways in which we innovate, there is nothing more important to us than the quality of our work. And when I personally talk about quality, there are three primary questions that are always top of my mind:

  1. Are we driving innovation in our solutions that meet our clients’ needs?
  2. Do we have the proper path in place to achieve project success?
  3. Are we using best practices to constantly improve the predictability of our IT delivery?

How we innovate
Conduent’s technology approach always starts with our customers’ end goals and needs in mind. As we collaborate with clients from across many different businesses and industries, we always operate from the position of first listening in order to create solutions that achieve success. That means we gain a deep understanding of the business problem a client has, and then determine the best technology solution. And it means that we work very closely and with our clients to create solutions and platforms (and versions of platforms) that produce the desired outcomes for their specific business goals.

Creating a path to success
Once we have identified and processed our customers’ unique needs and goals, we prioritize those goals and assign the right mix of technology, talent and resources to achieve what we have visualized together. Nothing about the work we’re doing is simple, but our goal is to make the process of digital transformation as easy for our clients as possible. In setting project milestones, clarifying requirements up front and providing constant communication throughout the ideation, creation and implementation of a technology solution, we align with our customers on a clear path to success and the steps it will take to get there.  Achieving CMMI Level 3 maturity gives our clients confidence that we can achieve each step at the time and budget expected.

Commitment to constant improvement
Using industry-wide best practices is paramount to the success of the IT solutions we deliver to our clients. Over the course of Conduent’s first two years in operation, we have made tremendous progress in the area of delivery process standardization. In 2018, we successfully completed the SCAMPI (Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement) appraisal and are now rated at CMMI Maturity Level 3. CMMI is a globally-recognized set of best practices that enables organizations to improve performance, key capabilities and critical business processes.

As we continue on our journey toward full delivery process standardization, we are invigorated by achieving this designation and we continue to be laser-focused on constant improvement and the highest level of IT predictability for our customers and their end users.
