May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Did you know in the U.S., roughly one in four adults suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder? This is a staggering percentage, and yet even more shocking is less than half of individuals diagnosed receive treatment – a statistic that needs to change!

This month we recognize the millions of individuals affected by a mental illness. Mental illness can be just as debilitating as other physical illnesses and needs to be taken seriously. Join us as we strive to cultivate awareness of mental illness, including the behaviors and habits that could indicate a mental illness, or risk worsening a mental illness, and stand with us as we advocate for accessible and affordable care, treatment, and recovery support.

Mental health and substance abuse are an increasing public health concern, gaining attention across the globe. Public health professionals work diligently to implement effective programs within their communities to ensure that individuals can access prevention and treatment services for mental and substance abuse disorders. Together we need to continuously educate individuals on prevention and treatment programs. Early action can make a huge difference in many disorders.

Conduent Public Health Solutions is passionate about doing our part to create awareness and initiate change. Finding a comprehensive, flexible system that can handle everything from case management to billing to reporting was almost impossible — until now. Our case management platform, Maven, helps state departments deliver and evaluate the effectiveness of mental health programs through case management, decision support and analytic reporting.  Assessing the success of state health programs is key to moving forward in implementing initiatives that drive a healthier, happier society.  A comprehensive, easy-to-use Mental Health Case Management System should be part of your strategy.
