Conduent Recognized by IWEI and HRC as a Top Employer and Champion of the LGBTQ+ Community in the Workplace

We are proud to announce that Conduent has been recognized by two different organizations with three separate awards for being a top employer for LGTBQ+ inclusion. At Conduent, we work to build a culture where everyone is valued, and associates feel like they belong and can bring their authentic selves to work. We are passionate about elevating diversity, equity, and inclusion and are honored to receive these notable awards.

IWEI Top Employers 2023

For the second consecutive year, Conduent was named as a ‘Silver Employer’ for LGBT+ inclusion by the India Workplace Equality Index (IWEI). The IWEI is a comprehensive benchmarking tool for India's employers to measure progress on Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT+) equality and inclusion in the workplace. Recognition is based on a comprehensive index that examines nine key areas around LGBT+ inclusion: policies and benefits; employee life cycle; employee resource group; allies and role models; senior leadership; monitoring; procurement; community engagement; additional in-country work.

Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2023-2024 Corporate Equality Index

Conduent received a score of 95 out of 100 in the Corporate Equality Index (CEI) from the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation marking its second year as a top ranked company on the CEI. The CEI is the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality.

Human Rights Campaign Equidad MX

For a second year in a row, Conduent Mexico has been listed as one of the LGBTQ+ Best Places to Work in Mexico. The HRC Equidad MX program ranking is the output of an annual HRC survey assessing LGBTQ+ inclusion at the corporate level in Mexico.

Conduent’s LGBTQ Employee Impact Group Efforts

One of the ways Conduent advances support for LGBTQ+ inclusion is through our Employee Impact Group (EIG) program. EIGs are voluntary associate-led groups organized around shared experiences and sponsored by the company’s senior leadership team. The Pride Impact Group seeks to inspire LGBTQ+ associates to bring their whole selves to work, connect Conduent’s LGBTQ+ community around the globe, increase education and awareness around LGBTQ+ topics and advocate for policies and practices.

As part of our ongoing commitment to LGBTQ inclusion, this year our Pride EIG held multiple panel discussions, featuring our most senior leaders, to educate and drive awareness around LGBTQ+ topics, such as Understanding & Addressing Unconscious Bias Affecting the LGBTQ+ Community, Managing Diverse Teams and Leading Inclusively for the LGBTQ community. In collaboration with our HR team, we continue our efforts to integrate DEI into our systems and processes. For example, our associates in the U.S., Mexico and India now have the option to  voluntarily self-identify as being members of the LGBTQ+ community in our HR system, which gives us richer data to drive policies and practices that are important to this group. Associates also have the option to enter a preferred name in our HR system that populates many of our other systems, and we encourage everyone to have pronouns in their email signatures.

While there has certainly been progress, there is always more work to be done to build and support LGTBQ+ inclusion in our workplaces. Conduent will continue to take steps that advance us on this journey.
