Conduent Talks Alternative Opioid Therapies and Disaster Resilience at MESC

Conduent Speakers to Describe Alternative Opioid Therapies and Disaster Resilience at MESC

Chicago may be best known for bold architecture, skyscrapers, jazz music and its picturesque view of Lake Michigan. And we are excited to experience it all this week at the annual Medicaid Enterprise Systems Conference (MESC).

This conference brings together leaders from state and federal Medicaid organizations, along with private sector technology leaders to share ideas and information related to Medicaid systems and initiatives.

MESC annually highlights the top priorities and solutions available for state and federal Medicaid programs. There’s a packed agenda of sessions and priority themes that cover a wide range of topics crucially important to Medicaid programs, such as MMIS procurement, funding, and operations as well as health information technology (HIT), health information exchanges (HIE), and health insurance exchanges (HIX).

Conduent is a proud sponsor of this annual event. Our data-driven insights and technology platforms will be on display, along with the only Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)-certified pharmacy benefits management module that can be used to help states improve care while controlling costs.

Conduent solutions deliver a high quality, personalized experience for members, and can help state agencies enhance crucial Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) by providing Medicaid management modules, comprehensive pharmacy benefit management, healthcare provider management, payment method consulting, integrated program eligibility and enrollment, and electronic visit verification.

Here are a few details about our Conduent-led sessions:

  • Thursday, August 22, 8 am in Room W183B - Maintaining Resilience in the Aftermath of Disaster. This session will explore the value of out-of-state support in executing a plan to maintain resilience in event of an emergency. • Thursday, August 22, 9:15 am in Room W184 BC - Reducing Opioid Abuse Using Technology and Expanded Alternative Therapies. Speakers for this special session include Beth Stokes, Registered Nurse, Clinical Services for Missouri’s Medicaid program (MO HealthNet) and Janelle Sheen, Director of Clinical Services for Conduent Government Health Services.

On Wednesday, August 21, Conduent will also participate in an organized community service event at the Marriott Marquis Chicago, assembling welcome kits for children involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago. BBBS supports one-on-one mentoring of children by trained adult volunteers.
