Report: Organizational Cloud Readiness Insights 2017

An estimated 95% of Cloud implementation projects fail due to a lack of understanding and preparation for the transformation. Our Cloud Reality Check Survey sought to uncover the reasons behind this, and identify how senior business professionals can better organize themselves for a smooth transition.

How well is “Cloud readiness” understood among organizations embarking on transformational change?

We wanted to gain detailed insight into the unique structure and management of Cloud transition programs. So we surveyed professionals across IT, operations and HR functions, to understand the role of the business case, the data architecture strategy, the function of the program management office, and resources in place for Cloud implementation and beyond.

And we discovered that more than 70% of these organizations are not ready for the move to Cloud. The research further exposed a lack of understanding and preparation concerning several aspects of readiness for the Cloud.
